How does Aztreo 1gm Injection work?

Aztreonam prevents the bacteria from making their cell walls. It attaches to penicillin-binding proteins in the bacterial cell wall , leading to cell lysis and death . Aztreonam is resistant to a number of bacterial beta-lactamases and because of its monobactam structure, is more effective against resistant strains.


How to Use & Dosage?

Aztreo is normally given by healthcare staff as an intramuscular injection or slow intravenous infusion; before giving the drug ensure you prepare it correctly by reconstituting and diluting it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
