How does Lentykine 4mg Capsule work?
Lenvatinib works by inhibiting several receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), including the VEGF receptors that are involved in angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels that feed tumour growth. This blocks the routes and slows the growth and spread of tumours.
How to Use & Dosage
The dose depends on the type of cancer and the characteristics of the patient (weight, health). The oncologist will prescribe a dose of 4 mg, 8 mg or 12 mg, once a day. Administered orally with or without food.
Swallow the capsules whole; do not break, chew or chop them up. Take this medication orally with a glass of water. Take the medicine only as directed on the prescription label and by your doctor. Do not stop taking the medicine unless directed to do so.
Discuss the use of this medication with your paediatrician for children. Extra care may be required.
