- Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL)
How does the Acaone 100mg Capsule work?
Acalabrutinib is a selective BTK (Bruton’s tyrosine kinase) inhibitor. It inhibits BTK, which stops malignant B-cells from surviving and growing, thereby slowing the growth of cancer cells.
How to Use & Dosage
Take the capsules by mouth with water, with or without food, at the same time each day. The standard dose is 100 mg twice daily for CLL/SLL. The usual recommended dose for MCL is 100 mg twice daily or as directed by your physician.
Take this medicine with a full glass of water. Follow the instructions on your prescription label. Do not chew, cut, or break the capsules. Swallow them whole. Your healthcare team may adjust your dose or advise you to stop treatment if you experience side effects.
Do not stop taking this medicine or change your dose unless instructed by your healthcare provider. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice while taking this medicine. Do not take antacids or H2-blockers within two hours of taking this medicine. Consult your healthcare provider before using this medicine in children. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your local emergency department or poison control center immediately.
