Product Description

Imatib 400mg Tablet contains Imatinib mesylate, which is used in the treatment of several malignancies, including chronic myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.

  • Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
  • Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GISTs)

How does the Imatib 400mg Tablet work?

Imatinib is a selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that targets the BCR-ABL fusion protein produced by the Philadelphia chromosome. It blocks this protein, preventing the signaling pathways that cause cancer cells to grow and spread, ultimately leading to apoptosis (cell death).

How to Use & Dosage

Take Imatib 400mg Tablet by mouth with water and food to reduce stomach irritation. In CML, the usual starting dose is 400 mg once daily. The dose may be increased up to 800 mg for GISTs based on response and tolerance. Your healthcare provider may adjust the dose according to your condition.

Take the medication with a full glass of water and food. Do not consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and continue taking the medicine exactly as prescribed. Do not stop treatment without consulting your healthcare provider.
