Arsenam 10mg Injection Active Ingredient: Arsenic Trioxide. It is mainly used to treat acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), a subtype of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Arsenic trioxide causes immature blood cells to mature and it can induce apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cells that have become cancerous.
Tell your doctor if you have problems with your heart, liver or kidneys or are taking other medicines before you take anastrozole. Not recommended in pregnancy or breast-feeding and effective contraception required during treatment.

How does the Arsenam 10mg Injection work?
Arsenic trioxide induces oxidative stress, disrupts the mitochondria of cells, and inhibits some proteins that are essential for the survival of cancer cells, thus targeting and inducing apoptosis in leukemic cells. It also affects differentiation of leukemia cells which leads to their maturation and final death.
How to Use & Dosage
The dosage and administration scheme depends on the body weight, the condition of the patient and the stage of treatment. It is given as an intravenous infusion under the supervision of a medical practitioner.
A doctor or nurse injects a solution (liquid) of arsenic trioxide into a patient’s vein in a clinic or doctor’s office. Arsenic trioxide injections are usually given over one to two hours. They may take up to four hours if side effects develop during the infusion. Generally, it is given one day in a fixed time span.

Storage Instructions
Refrigerate at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). Don’t freeze up. Store in the dark.
