Product Description

Aztrohigh 1gm Injection is an antibiotic injection containing Aztreonam, used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections caused by susceptible Gram-negative bacteria. It is effective against infections affecting the urinary tract, lungs, abdomen, skin, soft tissues, bloodstream, and other parts of the body.

Uses of Aztrohigh 1gm Injection:

  • Infections caused by susceptible Gram-negative bacteria
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Respiratory tract infections
  • Intra-abdominal infections
  • Skin and soft tissue infections

How does Aztrohigh 1gm Injection work?

Aztreonam works by preventing bacteria from forming their protective cell walls. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) in the bacterial cell wall, disrupting cell wall synthesis and causing bacterial cell death. Its unique monobactam structure makes it resistant to many beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant Gram-negative bacteria, thereby improving its antibacterial effectiveness.

How to Use & Dosage

Aztrohigh 1gm Injection is administered by a healthcare professional either as an intramuscular (IM) injection or as a slow intravenous (IV) infusion. Before administration, the medicine must be properly reconstituted and diluted according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

If prescribed for home use, you will receive instructions on how to prepare and administer the injection safely. Use the medicine exactly as directed and at the same time each day. Complete the entire course of treatment even if you begin to feel better, unless instructed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
