Herti 440mg Injection

Herti 440mg Injection is a monoclonal antibody containing Trastuzumab. This medicine is used for treatment of HER2 positive cancers such as breast and gastric cancers.

How does a Herti 440mg Injection work?

It highlights the HER2 receptor, a protein that is over expressed on the surface of some cancer cells. The way trastuzumab works is that it binds to HER2 and blocks the signalling pathways that lead to cell growth and survival, and also makes the cells more susceptible to destruction by the immune system.

How to Use & Dosage

Depending on the protocol, usually 8 mg/kg, followed by a maintenance dose of 6 mg/kg every 3 weeks. Given as an intravenous infusion. To watch for any negative reactions, the first infusions are given gradually.

It is administered by injection into a vein. It’s done by a medical professional who has specialised training, in a hospital or clinic.

Talk to your doctor about the use of this medication in children. This medication is not approved for use in children.

• Diarrhea
• Fatigue
• Dizziness
• Sweating
• Stomatitis (mouth sores)

• Liver enzyme elevation

The medicine can pass into breast milk. Breastfeeding should be avoided. Talk to your doctor.

Storage Instructions:

Store Herti Injection in a refrigerator (2-8°C). Protect from light. Do not freeze.
