Bdron 500mg tablet

Bdron 500mg Tablet contains Abiraterone acetate and is mainly used to treat metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer in men. It is commonly used with prednisone to relieve symptoms and to stop the course of the illness.

How does a Bdron 500mg Tablet work?

Abiraterone acetate blocks the enzyme CYP17 (17α-hydroxylase/C17,20-lyase) which is required for the production of androgens in the adrenal glands, testes and prostate cancers. It reduces prostate cancer cell activation by lowering androgen synthesis, thus helping to slow tumour growth and progression.

How to Use & Dosage

The recommended dose is 250 mg by mouth once a day. Administration takes Bdron on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.

Take the tablets whole with water by mouth on an empty stomach, at least one hour before or two hours after meals.

You must not get pregnant while you are taking this medicine. It can lead to serious birth defects.

If you are pregnant and have to handle this medication, wear gloves. If your child has asthma, talk to your doctor about the use of this medicine. Some special attention may be needed.

Possible Side Effects:

• Fatigue
• Joint pain or discomfort
• Hypertension (high blood pressure)
• Hot flashes
• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Liver function abnormalities (elevated liver enzymes)
• Adrenal insufficiency
• Hypokalemia (low potassium levels)
• Fluid retention and edema

Storage Instructions:

Store at 20 ° to 25 °C (68 ° to 77 °F). Protect from moisture and heat. (20-25 C)
