Adpem 100mg Injection

Adpem 100mg Injection contains Pemetrexed. This broad-spectrum antibiotic is employed in the treatment of serious bacterial infections including skin infections, urinary tract infections, meningitis, pneumonia and intra-abdominal infections. It kills bacteria by interfering with their ability to build their cell walls.

How does Adpem 100mg Injection work?

Pemetrexed is an anti-folate chemotherapeutic agent. It inhibits key enzymes in the synthesis of DNA and folate metabolism including GAR Transformylase, Dihydrofolate Reductase and Thymidylate Synthase. It blocks the synthesis of purines and pyrimidines, which are needed for cancer cells to proliferate. This is inhibited , which prevents rapidly dividing cancer cells from replicating . Eventually the cells are forced to stop dividing and die.

How to Use & Dosage

Adpem 100mg Injection should be administered intravenously in the presence of a qualified medical practitioner. Dosage and treatment plan depend on the type, stage and the specific characteristics of each patient.
