How does the Bosutris 500mg Tablet work?
Bosutinib inhibits the fusion protein BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase resulting from the Philadelphia chromosomal defect. Such inhibition contributes to the control of the disease by blocking the signaling pathways necessary to the growth and proliferation of leukemic cells.
How to Use & Dosage
100 mg to 500 mg once daily as needed depending on the patient’s medical condition and response to treatment. Tablets must be taken with food to increase absorption.
Bosutinib is given by mouth in the form of a tablet. It is usually taken once a day with food. Take bosutinib once daily at about the same time each day. Read the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your pharmacist or doctor to explain any part you do not understand. Bosutinib should be taken as directed. Never take more or less than your doctor has suggested or more often.
Do not chew, break or crush the tablets. Swallow them whole. Do not handle crushed or broken tablets with your bare hands.
