How does Cromobact 2gm Injection work?

Aztreonam works by stopping the bacteria from making their cell walls. Binds to the penicillin binding proteins of the bacterial cell wall and causes cell lysis and death. Its monobactam structure enhances its activity against resistant strains and confers resistance to several bacterial beta-lactamases.


How to Use & Dosage?

Cromobact is usually given by a health care professional as an injection into a muscle or as a slow infusion into a vein. Before you receive it, it must be properly prepared by reconstituting and diluting it according to the manufacturer’s directions.

This medicine is given as an injection into a vein or muscle. It is usually given by a health care professional in a hospital or clinic. If you are taking this medicine at home, you will be shown how to prepare and give this medicine.

Take it at the same time each day as directed on the prescription label. Continue taking it as directed until your doctor tells you to stop. It is very important that you dispose of used needles and syringes in a sharps container. If you do not have one, call your pharmacist or healthcare provider to obtain one.

If you think you may have overdosed, call an emergency room or poison control center right away.
