Product Description
Dalcinex 600mg Injection has Clindamycin as the active ingredient. It is an antibiotic used to treat various severe bacterial infections. It is used to treat infections of the heart, blood, bones, joints, skin, soft tissues, and lungs.
Uses of Dalcinex 600mg Injection:
- Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, lung abscess)
- Skin and soft tissue infections (e.g., cellulitis, abscesses)
- Bone and joint infections (e.g., osteomyelitis, septic arthritis)
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Gynecological infections
- Septicemia
- Dental infections
- Bacterial endocarditis
How does Dalcinex 600mg Injection work?
Clindamycin binds to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and inhibits protein synthesis which bacteria need to grow and multiply. This activity helps to get rid of the infection by successfully stopping the development of bacteria.
How to Use & Dosage
Dalcinex 600mg Injection is given as an injection by a doctor or a nurse either into a vein (intravenous) or into a muscle (intramuscular). Not for self administration.
Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of treatment according to the type and severity of the infection being treated and other individual health factors.
Even if you begin to feel better before you have finished the full course, it is important to complete the full course as prescribed. Stopping too soon can allow the infection to return and may contribute to antibiotic resistance. Because this injection will be given in a clinical setting, missed or extra doses are handled by your healthcare team rather than you.
Use in children: Talk to your doctor about using this medicine in children, as the dosage and safety may need to be changed based on your child’s age and weight.
