How does Dapmicin 350mg Injection work?
The cyclic lipopeptide antibiotic daptomycin disrupts cell membranes of Gram-positive bacteria. It binds to the membrane of the bacterial cell and punches holes in it, depolarizing the cell rapidly and causing it to die. This technique is effective against MRSA and other Gram positive resistant bacteria.
How to Use & Dosage?
Dapmicin is a potent drug which requires careful monitoring and is given intravenously, usually in a medical setting. Dose depends on the condition treated, age, weight and renal function of the patient.
