Dyronib 50mg Tablet

Dasatinib is the active ingredient in Dyronib 50mg Tablet and is used to treat chronic myeloid leukaemia in patients who cannot tolerate other medicines due to side effects.

Uses of Dyronib 50mg Tablet:

• Chronic Myeloid Leukemia
• Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

How does the Dyronib 50mg Tablet work?

Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) such as dasatinib are targeted against BCR-ABL, the abnormal protein produced by the Philadelphia chromosome. Dasatinib blocks this protein, and thus blocks the signals that tell cancer cells to grow and multiply. This kills the cancer cells.

How to Use & Dosage

Oral with or without food. The recommended starting dose for CML is 100 mg once a day. The standard recommended dose for ALL is 140 mg once a day. Dose adjustments may be necessary based on clinical response and tolerability.

Take this medicine by mouth with a full glass of water as directed. It may be taken with or without food. Do not take grapefruit juice. Do not crush or chew this medicine. Take it as directed, on a regular basis. Do not take antacids containing aluminum, calcium or magnesium for 2 hours before or after using this medication. Ask your doctor about using this medication in children.

Possible Side Effects:

• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Fatigue
• Headache
• Rash
• Myelosuppression (e.g., low blood cell counts)
• Pleural effusion
• Cardiac issues (e.g., arrhythmias)

The use of Dyronib 50mg tablets during pregnancy is not recommended due to the established risks to the developing foetus. Please talk to your doctor.

Do not use the Dyronib 50mg tablet during pregnancy. There is evidence that the fetus may be poisoned by medication. Talk to your health care provider.

🍷 Alcohol

It is unknown whether it is safe to drink alcohol while taking a Dyronib 50mg tablet. Be sure to speak with your health care professional.

🚗 Driving

You may not be able to drive because of the side effects of the Dyronib 50mg Tablet. Do not drive if you experience dizziness, blurred vision or any other symptoms that could affect your ability to drive. Please consult your medical professional.

Storage Instructions:

Store at ambient temperature. The recommended range is 20° to 25°C. Store in a dry place, away from moisture. Keep in original packaging, out of direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
