Uses of Glioz 100mg Capsule
- Glioblastoma Multiforme
- Anaplastic Astrocytoma
How does Glioz 100mg Capsule work?
Temozolomide is an alkylating agent that adds alkyl groups to the DNA of cancer cells and interferes with their replication. This causes damage to DNA leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis (cell death). It is especially effective against fast-growing cancer cells.
How to Use & Dosage
The dose is based on the body surface area and the type of cancer that is being treated. Take by mouth with a full glass of water, either on an empty stomach or at bedtime to help lessen nausea. Do not open or crush capsules.
Take temozolomide capsules once a day at bedtime on an empty stomach with water, at about the same time each day. Follow your doctor’s advice on treatment cycles, because the timing of doses will depend on the type of brain tumor and on how you respond to treatment.
Your entire dosage may be in more than one prescription bottle, and of more than one type and color of capsule. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully. Ask your pharmacist or doctor to explain any part you do not understand.
