Granitero 3 mg Injection

Granitero 3mg Injection is an antiemetic medicine. It contains Granisetron. It is used for the treatment of nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery.

Uses of Granitero 3mg Injection:

• Preventing and managing nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy
• Preventing nausea and vomiting following surgery
• Used occasionally to treat nausea caused by radiation therapy.

How does Granitero 3mg Injection work?

Granisetron blocks serotonin (5-HT3) receptors in the brain and gastrointestinal system, preventing nausea and vomiting.

How to Use & Dosage

Follow the instructions provided by your doctor about how long to take this medication. Granitero 3mg Injection should be taken at a fixed time but may be taken with or without food.

Granisetron extended-release injection is a liquid given under the skin and Granisetron immediate-release injection is a solution (liquid) given into a vein. Healthcare providers usually give granisetron immediate-release and extended-release injections in a hospital or clinic. They’ll usually give it within 30 minutes before your chemotherapy to help prevent nausea and vomiting from the treatment. Granisetron immediate-release is often given during surgery to prevent nausea and vomiting after surgery. Granisetron is given to control post-operative nausea and vomiting from the time these symptoms start.
