Kephazon-s Forte Injection

Kephazon-s Forte Injection contains Cefoperazone, Sulbactam. It is mainly used in the treatment of various bacterial infections like Respiratory tract infections, Skin and soft tissue infections, Urinary tract infections and many more.

How does Kephazon-s Forte Injection work?

Cefoperazone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that kills bacteria by blocking the synthesis of their cell walls. It is often used in combination with sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents some resistant bacteria from degrading ceftriaxone, to increase its effectiveness. Disodium edetate is also used as a stabiliser in this formulation to reduce toxicity and to increase the overall stability of the antibiotic. These elements are complementary to each other in improving the effectiveness of treatment of bacterial infections.

How to Use & Dosage

Administered by a medical practitioner by intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) injection. Dosage and length of treatment depend on the type of infection and the patient.
