Uses of Mycocyte 500mg Tablet:
- Organ Transplantation
- Autoimmune Diseases
How does Mycocyte 500mg Tablet work?
Mycophenolate mofetil is a prodrug that is converted to mycophenolic acid (MPA) in the body. MPA is an inhibitor of the enzyme inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) which is required for T- and B-lymphocyte proliferation. It inhibits these cells and thereby diminishes the immune response that can attack transplanted organs.
