How does Pegstim 6mg Injection work?
Pegylated filgrastim is a pegylated form of filgrastim that promotes the growth, maturation, and activation of neutrophils, a type of white blood cell produced in the bone marrow. This reduces the risk of infection by shortening the period of neutropenia, or low neutrophil count, associated with chemotherapy.
How to Use & Dosage
Given as a single subcutaneous injection for each cycle of chemotherapy, usually 24 hours after completion of chemotherapy.
This medicine is injected under the skin. If you are using the pre-filled syringe or On-body Injector at home, be sure to follow the instructions provided carefully and tell your healthcare team right away if you think you missed a dose or received only part of a dose.
