How does Polyfic 500000 Injection work?
Polymyxin B is a cationic polypeptide antibiotic that interacts with the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria and causes damage. This causes lysis of the bacterial cell, leakage of intracellular components and eventual death. Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Acinetobacter baumannii , It mainly targets the Gram-negative multidrug resistant bacteria, Enterobacteriaceae.
How to Use & Dosage
The route of administration can be intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) depending on the clinical situation. adjusted for infection severity and weight. Renal impairment may require dose adjustment.
