How does the Soraib 200mg Tablet 30’s work?
Sorafenib is a multi-kinase inhibitor that targets the receptor tyrosine kinases involved in tumor angiogenesis and tumor development. It prevents mostly:
- The receptor for vascular endothelial growth factor
- Platelet derived growth factor receptor
- A component of the MAPK/ERK signaling cascade is Raf kinase.
Sorafenib inhibits these pathways , which prevents tumor growth , reduces angiogenesis ( creation of new blood vessels ) , and causes cancer cells to undergo programmed cell death ( apoptosis ) .
How to Use & Dosage
The usual recommended dose of Soranib Tablet is 400 mg twice daily, with dose titration based on tolerance and clinical response. It should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. The tablets should be swallowed whole with water without crushing or chewing.
If you are using it for children then consult your physician and follow the prescription. Take the medicine as directed regularly. If you suspect someone has taken an overdose, call emergency services or a poison control center immediately.

Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to drink alcohol while taking Soranib Tablets. Discuss it with your health care professional.
