Uses of Tiganex 50mg Injection:
- Complex infections of the skin and soft tissues
- Complicated intra-abdominal infections
- Community-acquired pneumonia
How does Tiganex 50mg Injection work?
Tigecycline binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibits bacteria from synthesizing proteins. This effectively halts the growth of bacteria by preventing the addition of amino acids to the growing peptide chain.
How to Use & Dosage
50 mg within 12 hours usually as an IV infusion over 30 to 60 minutes. Duration of treatment (usually 5 to 14 days) is determined on the kind and severity of infection.
Tigecycline injections can be given at home or in a hospital with proper instruction from a health care professional about how to give the medication and how to deal with any problems.
You should start to feel better within the first few days of receiving injectable tigecycline. Call your physician if your symptoms do not improve or get worse.

Safety Advise:

Use with caution in patients with Liver dysfunction. In patients with severe liver dysfunction dose adjustment is required. Talk to your doctor.

No dose adjustment is required in patients with renal impairment but patients with severe renal failure should be cautioned. Please consult with your healthcare provider.
🤰 Pregnancy
Tigecycline can harm an unborn baby if the mother takes the drug during pregnancy. Consult your health care professional.
🤱 Breast Feeding
It is not recommended to use it during breast feeding because it may pass into the breast milk and cause harm to your baby. Please consult your healthcare provider.
🚗 Driving
Tigecycline can cause vision problems or dizziness. If these effects occur patients should be cautioned against driving. Please see your healthcare provider.
Storage Instructions
Store at 25°C (77°F); allowable temperature range 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Keep the vial in the original packing to protect it from light.
