U-Azom 1gm Injection is an Antibiotic used in the treatment of a wide variety of bacterial infections in the blood, brain, ears, skin, belly, bones, lungs and urinary tract.

  • Infections caused by susceptible Gram-negative bacteria
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Respiratory tract infections

How does U-Azom 1gm Injection work?

Aztreonam works by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins in the bacterial cell wall leading to cell lysis and death. Its monobactam structure makes it more active against resistant strains and it confers resistance to multiple bacterial ß-lactamases.
