How does Viatran 1.5gm Injection work?

Cefoperazone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall formation resulting in cell death. It is often combined with sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor . This makes it more effective as some bacteria can resist ceftriaxone by breaking it down. In this formulation, disodium edetate also functions as a stabilizer, reducing the toxicity and increasing the stability of the antibiotic as a whole. These components are combined to improve the success of bacterial infection treatment.
