Vivitra 150mg Injection

: Vivitra 150mg Injection contains Trastuzumab, a monoclonal antibody used primarily to treat HER2-positive cancers, such as breast and gastric cancers.

How does a Vivitra 150mg Injection work?

It targets the HER2 receptor, a protein that is over-expressed on the surface of some cancer cells. Trastuzumab binds to HER2, blocking signalling pathways that stimulate growth and survival of cells, and marking cells for destruction by the immune system, thus slowing the growth of tumours.

How to Use & Dosage

The standard regimen is 8 mg/kg with maintenance doses of 6 mg/kg at 3-week intervals. Given by intravenous infusion; initial infusions are given slowly to watch for adverse reactions.

This drug is given IV. It is given in a hospital or clinic by a medicine expert with special training.

Talk to your paediatrician about using this medication in children. This medicine is not approved for use in children.

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Loss of appetite
• Diarrhea
• Fatigue
• Dizziness
• Sweating
• Stomatitis (mouth sores)
• Hand-foot syndrome
• Liver enzyme elevation

Vivitra is contraindicated in pregnancy because of the possible risk to the fetus. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding should be avoided because the drug is excreted in breast milk. Please talk to your doctor.

Storage Instructions:

Store Vivitra Injection in a refrigerator (2-8°C) and protect from light.Do not freeze.
