How does Cabotres 40mg Tablet work?
Cabozantinib inhibits the activity of several tyrosine kinases, including MET, VEGFR and RET, which are involved in several pathways important for tumour cell development and angiogenesis (blood vessel formation). The drug cabozantinib blocks these kinases and may reduce blood flow to tumours as well as block the growth and spread of cancer cells.
How to Use & Dosage
The usual dose of Cabotres is 40-60 mg once daily depending on the type of cancer being treated and factors such as liver or renal function of the patient. Take on an empty stomach, at least two hours before or after a meal.
Cabozantinib is a pill that is usually taken once a day on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). Listen closely to what your doctor says and don’t change the dose without talking to your doctor.
Take the tablets whole with a full glass of water. Don’t open, crush, chew or split.
