Capetero 500mg Tablet is an oral chemotherapy medicine. It contains Capecitabine, which is primarily used to treat some types of cancer.

How does the Capetero 500mg Tablet work?

The body converts the prodrug Capecitabine into 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). 5-FU is an antimetabolite that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by blocking DNA synthesis and RNA processing.

How to Use & Dosage

The dose of Capecitabine varies according to the type of cancer, the treatment plan and the body surface area of the patient.

Capecitabine is a pill that is taken by mouth, usually twice a day after meals, for 2 weeks. Then you get a week off and then you start the next cycle. How often the cycle is repeated will be decided by your doctor depending on how you respond and any side effects you have. Take with a glass of water around the same time each day.

Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Do not break, chew or crush the tablets; swallow the tablets whole.

Storage Instructions

Store at room temperature, generally 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Store in a dry place, protected from light and humidity.
