How does Comcapsy 700mg/30mg Tablet work?
Capecitabine is converted to 5-FU, which inhibits thymidylate synthase, an enzyme necessary for DNA production, leading to the death of cancer cells. Cyclophosphamide alkylates DNA, causing cross-linking and inhibiting DNA replication, which leads to apoptosis of cancer cells.
How to Use & Dosage
The healthcare professional will decide the dose schedule depending on the type of cancer, the stage of the disease, and how the patient is responding. It is usually given in cycles with breaks in between.
