Product Description

Hertab 250mg Tablet contains Lapatinib, a medication used in the treatment of certain types of breast cancer, particularly HER2-positive breast cancer.

Uses of Hertab 250mg Tablet:

HER2-Positive Breast Cancer

How does Hertab 250mg Tablet work?

Certain breast cancer cells overexpress HER2, or human epidermal growth factor receptor 2, which promotes uncontrolled division of cells. Lapatinib functions by blocking the EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) and HER2 pathways, both of which are essential for cell survival and proliferation. Lapatinib is a key medication in the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer because it slows or stops the growth and spread of cancer cells by blocking these pathways.

How to Use & Dosage

Since food influences absorption, take the pills at least an hour before or after a meal orally.

As directed by your doctor, lapatinib is given orally once day, one hour before or after a meal. Take all of the tablets at once, at the same time every day, and adhere to the directions on your prescription precisely. Throughout your treatment, your doctor may gradually raise or lower the lapatinib dosage. This is dependent on how effectively the drug functions for you as well as any potential adverse effects. Take lapatinib as prescribed even if you feel good. Consult your doctor before stopping to take lapatinib.
