Letero 2.5mg Tablet contains Letrozole which is an aromatase inhibitor. It is used for breast cancer in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Letrozole blocks the production of oestrogen, and certain breast cancers depend on the synthesis of estrogen.

If you have a history of osteoporosis, liver or kidney problems, or if you are pregnant or nursing, tell your doctor before you take this medication. Also tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking, as they might affect this medication. Your doctor may also check your bone density or vitamin D levels while you are on therapy.

How does the Letero 2.5mg Tablet work?

Letrozole works by blocking the aromatase enzyme that converts androgens into oestrogen. Letrozole acts by reducing the levels of oestrogen and this way it slows or stops the growth of estrogen-sensitive breast cancers.


How to Use & Dosage

2.5 mg/day can be used for food and non-food items. It is recommended to take it every day at the same time.

Drink a glass of water along with the medicine given in the prescription. Follow the directions on the medicine label. Take your prescription medicine regularly. Do not take your prescription more often than prescribed. Do not stop taking unless advised by your care team.

Use of this drug in children should be discussed with your care team. You may need to be careful.
