Product Description
Renodapt 500mg Tablet contains Mycophenolate mofetil, an immunosuppressant (a medicine that suppresses the immune system). It is mainly used to prevent organ rejection in patients undergoing transplantation.
Uses of Renodapt 500mg Tablet:
- Organ Transplantation
- Autoimmune Diseases
How does Renodapt 500mg Tablet work?
Mycophenolate mofetil, a prodrug, is metabolised in the body to mycophenolic acid (MPA). MPA inhibits the enzyme inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH), which is necessary for T- and B-lymphocyte proliferation. It suppresses these cells and so reduces the immunological response that can target transplanted organs.
