Tacsant 1mg Capsule is a medicine containing tacrolimus. It is an immunosuppressive drug used mainly to prevent organ rejection in patients who have undergone kidney, liver or heart transplant. It suppresses the immune system so it does not attack the transplanted organ.

If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or liver, kidney or heart problems, talk to your doctor before taking this drug. You should also tell them about any other medicines you take. You are on immunosuppressants so your skin cancer risk is increased. Avoid sun and UV light as much as possible.

Uses of Tacsant 1mg Capsule:

Prevention of organ rejection in transplant patients (kidney, liver, or heart transplants)

How does the Tacsant 1mg Capsule work?

Tacrolimus blocks an enzyme called calcineurin that is required to activate T-cells of the immune system. Tacrolimus blocks this route to reduce the immune response and prevent rejection of the organ.
