Tegoyes 20mg Capsules contain the active ingredients Tegafur, Gimeracil, and Oteracil. These anti-cancer medicines are used in the treatment of certain types of cancer, including gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, and other solid tumours.

How does the Tegoyes 20mg Capsules work?

Tegafur is converted into 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) in the body, which blocks thymidylate synthase, an enzyme that cancer cells need to produce DNA, leading to cancer cell death.

Gimeracil slows the breakdown of 5-FU, allowing it to remain active in the body for a longer period and enhancing its anti-cancer effect.

Oteracil helps protect healthy tissues, particularly the gastrointestinal tract, from the harmful effects of 5-FU, reducing side effects such as severe diarrhea and mouth sores.

How to Use & Dosage

Tegoyes 20mg Capsules are taken orally, usually in treatment cycles as prescribed by your oncologist. The dosage depends on the type of cancer, its stage, and the patient’s overall condition and tolerance to treatment.
