Temoside 20mg Capsule

Temoside 20mg Capsule contains Temozolomide, an oral chemotherapy drug used mainly to treat certain types of brain cancers.

• Glioblastoma Multiforme
• Anaplastic Astrocytoma

How does Temoside 20mg Capsule work?

Temozolomide is an alkylating agent that damages DNA of cancer cells. They are unable to multiply and divide, which slows or halts the formation of tumours.

How to Use & Dosage

The exact dose and length of treatment will be determined by the oncologist, depending on the type of cancer, body surface area and response to treatment. As a rule, the capsule is taken once a day for five days in a row with a break of one day.

Take this medication by mouth with a full glass of water, with or without food, at the same time each day. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. Do not stop taking the medication or change the dose yourself.

Discuss the use of this medicine in young patients with your paediatrician. Extra care may be needed.

If you suspect you have taken too much of this medication, call your local emergency department or poison control centre right away.

Temozolomide can damage the kidneys. When you are on therapy, we will regularly test your kidney function and monitor your kidney health. Please speak to your healthcare provider.

🫀 Liver

Temozolomide may cause liver damage. During therapy you will need routine liver function tests to monitor your liver health. Please speak with your healthcare provider.

🤰 Pregnancy

Temozolomide may cause birth defects. Women who are fertile should use effective contraception throughout medication. Please check with your health care provider.

🤱 Breastfeeding

You should not breast-feed while you are being treated. The drug may pass into your breast milk and may harm your baby. Please talk with your healthcare provider.

🍷 Alcohol

Do not drink alcohol while taking Temozolomide as it can increase the side effects such as nausea, vomiting and liver damage. Please consult your health care provider.

🚗 Driving

Temozolomide can cause fatigue, anxiety or dizziness. If you have any of these bad effects, don’t drive. Please check with your healthcare provider.

Storage Instructions:

Store the capsules at room temperature away from moisture and heat, and out of reach of children.
