Kabonib 20mg Tablet contains Cabozantinib which is an oral medicine used mainly for the treatment of certain types of cancer including medullary thyroid cancer and renal cell carcinoma. Cabotinib is a multi-tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets a number of receptor tyrosine kinases that are involved in tumor development, angiogenesis and metastasis.

Take this medication by mouth with a glass of water with or without food. Take with food if stomach upset occurs.

How does a Kabonib 20mg Tablet work?

Cabotinib inhibits multiple tyrosine kinases such as MET, VEGFR and AXL involved in cancer cell proliferation, survival and blood vessel generation. These pathways are involved in malignancy growth and spread and cabozantinib inhibits these systems to slow the growth and spread of tumors.


How to Use & Dosage

The recommended starting dose is 60 mg once daily for renal cell carcinoma and 140 mg once daily for medullary thyroid cancer. The real dose will vary depending on the patient’s condition and response to therapy. Cabozantinib is an oral medication that can be taken with food or without food at the same time each day. Swallow the tablets whole. Do not chew or crush them.

Take this medicine by mouth with a glass of water. Take once daily at the same time as directed on the prescription label. Do not chew, break, or cut this medication. Swallow the pills or capsules whole. Not to be taken with food. Take at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Keep taking it unless your healthcare provider tells you to stop.

Discuss the use of this drug in children with your doctor. Even for certain conditions in children twelve years of age and older, precautions are necessary.

🤰 Pregnancy

Cabozantinib may be teratogenic to the developing fetus. You need to use effective birth control while you are being treated. Please speak with your healthcare provider.

🤱 Breast feeding

It is not known whether Cabozantinib is secreted in human milk. Breast feeding is not recommended during treatment. Please contact your health care provider.

🍺 Alcohol

It is not known if it is safe to use a Kabonib 20mg Tablet with alcohol. Talk to your healthcare professional about this.


Storage Instructions

Store in a dry place at room temperature (15-30°C). Keep away from light and moisture.
