Daslemia 50 mg Tablet contains the active ingredient dasatinib, a type of chemotherapy drug known as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It is mostly used to treat leukemias that are positive for the Philadelphia chromosome (Ph+), such as Acute lymphoblastic leukemia and Chronic Myeloid leukemia.
Uses of Daslemia 50mg Tablet:
- Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)
- Chronic Myeloid leukemia (CML)
How does Daslemia 50mg Tablet work?
Dasatinib works by inhibiting multiple tyrosine kinases that are essential for cancer cell growth and survival. It specifically targets the BCR-ABL protein which is produced in Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and Chronic Myeloid leukemia (CML) due to the abnormal Philadelphia chromosome. Dasatinib blocks this protein to prevent cancer cells from growing and to cause them to die.
